The
College was established named by “Technical vocational school of Food industry”
to prepare high-specialized employees of meat, milk, breadmaking, candy, confectionary and flour
industries in 1965. During the historical period it became Vocational training center of
Food with graduated training in 1991 and Technological school of Food industry in 1999, Food
technological college in 2000 and it has expanded and developed to become
Institute of Technology since 2011.
The Institute admits graduates of 9th and 11th grades of the
General Educational Schools and Technical
and Vocational Training Schools and has been conducting graduated training to prepare employees
with professional degree and specialists with master degree majoring in food
industry, service and technique.
The Institute has been accredited
in Mongolia and at the Asia Pacific regional level twice. It was selected in
activity indicators among the vocational educational organizations in 2011 and 2012 and has been awarded consecration on
“Premium management school” of the Ministry of Labor and Mongolian Chamber of
Commerce and Industry, Association of the Technical and Vocational schools and
consecration on “Top standard” school of the foundation to form standard in
society in 2013.
The Institute works in cooperation
with over 10 universities, colleges and vocational training schools of the
People’s Republic of China, the Russian Federation, the Republic of
Korea and France under the agreement on cooperation. It is a member of
Mongolian Government Association, Association of Chefs, Mongolian Meat
Association and Mongolian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in food service and
it cooperates with schools of all stages to prepare professional personnel in
food processing sector, scientific research organizations, factories,
non-governmental organizations to improve knowledge and capacity of teachers
and trainees.
